"President!"
At this moment, Aspros had already arrived outside the steel wall.
"What's the situation?" Aspros inquired, glancing at the tactical teams standing by.
"The boss won't let us get close," one of the team captains replied with a wry smile. "The fight between the two is so intense that we can't even approach. If you're not careful, you could be torn apart by the aftermath."
Facing such an extraordinary battle, even armed with advanced weaponry, they were no match. They didn’t need to be directly targeted—just the residual shockwaves were enough to overwhelm them.
"How do we deliver this medicine?" Aspros asked, holding a box containing the Hulk inhibitor developed by Dr. Lan.
"Leave the box there and step away," Chronos's voice echoed in Aspros's mind.
"Sir, are you sure this is alright?" Aspros was deeply concerned about Chronos's condition.
The Holy Domain Consortium's current dominance in the inner world was entirely built on Chronos's strength. Without him, the Consortium would be nothing more than a fleeting entity, unable to maintain its influence. It was Chronos who had personally negotiated with Blade to resolve the crisis with the blood clan, saving the Consortium from collapse.
In a world without extraordinary beings, the power of capital is immense. But in a world where such beings exist, the fragility of capital becomes equally apparent.
"Put it down," Chronos instructed.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Aspros placed the box on the ground. If Chronos couldn't handle the Hulk, their presence would only result in more casualties.
"This fight was exhilarating," Chronos said, smiling at the Hulk. "We'll have another chance to compete in the future."
"Hulk!" the enraged creature roared, glaring at Chronos. The man before him had dealt him a heavy blow, and now all Hulk wanted was to tear him apart.
"Buzz!"
An invisible force swept through the air. Hulk suddenly felt his body grow heavy as Chronos activated the power of the sixth sense microcosm. A golden light spread, forming an invisible barrier that locked Hulk in place.
"Crystal Wall!" Chronos extended his hands, and the immense force immobilized Hulk, leaving him to roar in frustration.
"Good thing I had the foresight to develop control techniques," Chronos remarked, observing the trapped Hulk. "This should hold for a few minutes."
After assessing Hulk's strength and the stability of the Crystal Wall, Chronos turned to retrieve the inhibitor. In an instant, a box appeared in his hands. Inside were three tubes of blue, sci-fi-looking serum, each loaded into a specialized syringe designed to penetrate even Hulk's skin.
"Time to sleep, Hulk," Chronos said, injecting all three serums without hesitation. The medicine, essentially a powerful anesthetic tailored for Hulk, began to take effect almost immediately. Hulk's eyelids grew heavy, and his massive frame started to shrink.
"Effective," Chronos noted, tossing the used syringes back into the box. Given Hulk's physiology, the serum would only work once before he developed immunity—a testament to Hulk's extraordinary resilience.
About a minute later, Hulk had reverted to Bruce Banner.
"How are you feeling, Dr. Banner?" Chronos asked, looking down at the disoriented man.
"You... suppressed the Hulk?" Banner asked groggily, his eyes scanning the surroundings. He realized the Hulk had emerged again, but unlike previous incidents, no casualties had occurred this time.
"Only temporarily," Chronos replied. "You need to keep your emotions in check. I may have rushed things by letting you confront Hulk's consciousness prematurely. Rest now—we'll talk tomorrow."
Chronos knew the aftermath of the battle required attention. The surroundings needed repairs, and he himself needed rest. Banner's current state wasn't ideal for further discussion. However, there was a silver lining: after each transformation, Banner would have a period of stability before Hulk could emerge again. Unless Banner's life was in immediate danger, Hulk would remain dormant.
As the situation at the villa manor settled, chaos erupted elsewhere. In the military, General Ross was seething with rage.
